We help the elderly in the project "Origins of Mercy"
The “Origins of Mercy” project is a large area of RVC volunteer programs, the main goal of which is to help elderly clients of HESED. Volunteers provide assistance in two formats at once: online and offline. Join now!

Home Delivery - Home Care
Distribution of humanitarian aid and gift sets to the beneficiaries of the volunteer centre.
Memory Café
Organise and run classes focused on developing and maintaining cognitive function for older people.
Friendship on Phone
Holding telephone conversations with the elderly on a variety of topics, excluding politics, religion, medicaments and advice for using them.
Literature Evening
Host literature evenings for seniors and volunteers. Tasks include choosing the theme of the evening, select activities and developing the programme of event.
All to Museum
Accompanying elderly people to museums, giving guided tours, socialising and leading discussions on cultural topics during visits.
Yahad Ensemble
Organising educational classes, concert programme, participation in the ensemble.
You in Dance
Leading dance classes for seniors, including learning various choreographies and organising dance sessions.
Accompaniment - pairs
Spending time with the elderly person, including walks, meetings, socialising and doing tasks if requested.
Active Weekend
Organising and leading entertaining activities for children, aimed at their entertainment and relaxation.
IT Grandma
Providing computer lessons, developing learning programmes, preparing and adapting training materials, including videos, presentations and practical exercises.
IMPRO-media project
Participate in acting trainings and improvisations, assist in organising and conducting team-building events.
Sport Events
Organising and participating in the logistics of sports events, developing event scenarios and managing all steps of the event.
Shabbat Guest
Performing ceremonies at the home of a elderly person, socialising and spending time with them.
Our Hands Can Do Anything
Organise and run creative workshops for seniors and volunteers, including topic selection, preparing and selecting materials.
Limba noastra project
Teaching Russian-speaking children Romanian through interactive methods and games.
Talking English project
Teaching children English through interactive presentations.
IT Kids project
Teaching children the basics of technology using interactive presentations.
Inform
Informing Hesed clients and volunteers by phone about project activities, events and holidays of the community and the city, and also making surveys.
