Warmth of Hands and Symbols of the Holiday

In anticipation of Rosh Hashanah, volunteers from the "Origins of Mercy" project got together to create special gifts for their beneficiaries.

Rosh Hashanah not only marks the beginning of a new year according to the Jewish calendar, but it's also a time for good deeds and symbols of renewal and hope. In anticipation of the holiday, volunteers from the "Origins of Mercy" project got together to create special gifts for their beneficiaries.

On September 12, a clay modeling workshop was held, which became more than just a creative activity, but a true symbol of warmth and care. Under the guidance of a master from the @momandme.pottery studio, volunteers learned to work with the material and created jars for sugar and honey - foods that traditionally accompany the Rosh Hashanah holiday table.

Each piece was unique: some were shaped like an apple, others like a pomegranate, or a classic honey jar. But they all had one thing in common - warmth and a will to spread joy. These works will be gifts for the project's beneficiaries, symbolizing a sweet and kind year.

Rosh Hashanah is rich in symbolism. Apples, honey, pomegranates, figs, and even fish heads - all of these attributes carry deep meaning. We decided to support this tradition by adding a personal touch - honey jars handcrafted by volunteers.

This workshop was not only an opportunity for the volunteers to learn something new, but also a reminder that the most important thing about the holidays is attention and care for others.

We express our gratitude to the @momandme.pottery studio and Tatiana for the craftsmanship, atmosphere, and knowledge she generously shared. Initiatives like these make the holiday truly warm and inclusive.
