The "Limba noastra" project invites young volunteers to teach Romanian to children from risk groups. If you are a native Romanian speaker and can present material in an interactive way, join our team to make a meaningful contribution to education.

Main task: Teaching Russian-speaking children Romanian through interactive methods and games.

Work schedule: Once a week, on Fridays.

We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 16 and 35 who not only speak native Romanian, but are also able to explain it to children in a fun and accessible way. Your work will help children feel confident in their new language environment. Join us in giving children the key to a new world of opportunities!

Hi all! My name is Mititelu Valentina, I am 16 years old and I am a first-year student at a teacher training college.

I learned about the Republican Volunteer Center from my friend and started volunteering almost two years ago. My first project was called «Limba Noastră» where I taught Romanian to children. Participation in this project helped me become more punctual and responsible, as I realized that I have obligations that I should fulfill.

In the volunteer movement, I especially like communication with different people, regardless of their age and interests. I love to learn something new and develop, as well as help people and see their smiles after helping. During my participation in the projects, I met a lot of wonderful people and there were many pleasant stories. One of them happened during the delivery of new phones. To old people. We helped them figure it out by explaining how each program worked. It was very interesting to listen to their stories that happened to them throughout their lives, and it’s very nice to see smiles and joy on their faces. I understood that our communication was necessary for the elderly, and it brought pleasure to both of us.

I am proud of my decision to become a volunteer at the Republican Volunteer Center, and I do not regret my choice at all. Activities at the RVC brought me new knowledge, a large number of interesting acquaintances and vast experience of working with people.

«Hello. My name is Ekaterina Labunets. I am 15 years old. I am in the 9th grade of the Theoretical Lyceum «George Călinescu». My favorite activities are reading and spending time with people close and dear to me. I get pleasure when I can learn something new, as well as when I take part in projects that are new to me. The latter quality made me want to try myself as a volunteer. For a long time I was looking for a volunteer center until I saw the publication of a friend about a volunteer action within the framework of the «Good Deeds Day» organized by RVC. After finding out more information, I decided to take part! For a month and a half I have been a volunteer in many of the Center’s projects. The first project in which I took part was «Limba Noastră». I really like it, I enjoy helping other people in learning Romanian. At the same time, I had the opportunity to take part in other projects and actions, such as Healthy Vitamine Box, where together with other volunteers we delivered gifts specially prepared for them to the elderly. I still remember the sincere smiles and great gratitude of these people. I enjoy volunteering and I don’t want to stop. This makes me happy and adds to the desire to make even more joy for the people around me. I want to get as much experience as possible in what I do: supporting the environment, working with children and the elderly.
