The "Friendship on Phone" project invites volunteers for one-to-one contact with elderly people with the intention of socialising them.

Main task: Holding telephone conversations with the elderly on a variety of topics, excluding politics, religion, medicaments and advice for using them.

Work Schedule: 1 to 4 times per week.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys talking on the phone and has a way of finding common language with seniors. If you want to help people feel needed and connected to the community, your participation will definitely be of value. Join our team and share the warmth of your heart!

Hello. I am escorting elderly single people by phone. Chernova Victoria, 64 years old, worked as an engineer, now retired. I have been at the RVC since November 2019, I learned about the Call Center from Elena Zhilina, an active volunteer in this area, and decided to join, which I am very happy about. In the volunteer movement, I like that, whenever possible, I can help older people, brighten up their loneliness a little, talk about what worries them. They enjoy the calls, the fact that they have someone to talk to about different topics, to discuss questions and problems.
