Sabbath of the Generations at RVC
Friday evening, filled with warmth and sense for volunteers and the elderly.
On Friday evening, in KEDEM, a special Sabbath took place—"Sabbath of the Generations." This event became the symbol of continuity, connection of times, and dialogue between generations.
Volunteers and the elderly members of the community lit up Sabbath candles, read the parable and weekly chapter, and sang familiar songs. These simple but sensible actions created a special atmosphere of belonging and tradition.

One of the brightest moments of the evening was the workshop of the artist Anastasia Gladcenko, who showed how to create with the help of wine - one of the symbols of Sabbath. Guests weren't only painting but also expressing feelings, associations, and memories, tied to this day.

The main event of the evening was the stories of the elderly. They shared their recollections of childhood, family traditions, and holidays, which tied them together at different times. These stories filled the evening with the profound wisdom and the real soul warmth.

"Sabbath of the Generations" turned out to be not only an event but also a space in which traditions of Jewish culture passed through the personal conversations, mutual creativity, and attention towards one another. It reminded people about how important it is to be together, listen, share, and continue traditions - from heart to heart, from generation to generation.
