Preparing Together for Passover
The beautiful morning of April 28 marked the beginning of another exciting event as part of the Passover celebration week at our Republican Volunteer Center!
An amazing team gathered in room 310: elderly participants from the Compassion Roots project and our active volunteers. The task for the "Preparing Together" project was simple - to learn to cook simple yet exquisite dishes from MATZAH, the main product of the holiday.
Inspired and enthusiastic, we got down to business: we divided into groups, exchanged ideas, and created incredible culinary masterpieces - from fish and chocolate cakes to original sandwiches. Once all the dishes were ready, we held a tasting for everyone present at the center. The evening was adorned by a performance from our wonderful poet Yakov Kerner; his poems received thunderous applause!
The event had an incredible effect: our elderly participants described it not only as a gathering of friends but also as an antidepressant. We look forward to new meetings in our mini-kitchen to cook together again and delight ourselves and others!
