Inspirational Teambuilding

On June 18th, volunteers of the "Origins of Mercy" project spent a truly inspirational day in the Arboretum Park - among the green, sun, smiles, and lively conversations. It wasn't just a teambuilding out in nature; it was a deep and warm meeting, which united people for whom helping the elderly isn't a formal responsibility but a genuine heart choice.

The program kicked off with the quest "Volunteer's Heart," filled with symbols, stories, and personal discoveries. Participants, divided into teams, were solving the play's tasks, were guessing one another based on childhood pictures, were discussing their first volunteer steps, and, most importantly, were sharing real things - stories, emotions, and internal meanings. In one of the tasks, participants were talking to the elderly, learning about how the city was changing, how the youth was living during different eras, and what they can advise the modern youth. It became a real bridge between generations - a genuine, respectful, and human one.

The second half of the day was dedicated to creativity - volunteers joined the watercolors workshop, which was led by an artist, @obozrevateli. It wasn't a technique lesson as much as an invitation to feel the color, shape, and mood and to express those on the paper. Final products turned out to be bright, warm, and very personal - as a reflection of team spirit, kind hearts, and a mutual idea uniting all participants of the project. Workshop projects were given to the elderly beneficiaries of our center.

Such meetings are a very significant part of the development of volunteering. They help to not only recharge and relax but also make a team stronger, forming new connections and reminding everyone that behind chores and numbers there are always people. With their attention, trust, and readiness to be near.

The "Origins of Mercy" project continues to grow, and we believe that through these meetings the ideas are born that are truly capable of changing the world. Step by step, heart to heart.
