Dear volunteers!

JDC FSU in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Social Affairs and the Volunteer Community FSU are registering for volunteer jobs in Israel.

JDC FSU covers expenses for volunteers: flights and insurance (subsidies – up to $ 400 for Russia and Belarus, up to $ 300 for Ukraine and Moldova).

The host organization provides food, accommodation and a scholarship (depending on the policies of the host organization) volunteers. The host organization is responsible for the volunteers. Volunteer Community and JDC FSU are intermediaries between the volunteer and the host organization.

Program duration: at least 10 months.

Program start date: winter 2019.

Registration by September 31, 2019.

Requirements for candidates: age 18+, experience of volunteering in the Volunteer Community network, willingness to come back to your community after an internship program and continue volunteering, English is required, Hebrew is an advantage. The candidate should not have children under the age of 18 years.

1. AKIM, location – Kiryat ATA. Clients are people with mental disabilities. The necessary work consists in socialization, various assistance.
2. ALUT. Volunteers work with autistic people – “friends”. Work in shifts. Volunteers help “friends” in everyday matters: take a shower, set the table, cook dinner and afternoon tea, as well as play games and develop socialization skills. Web: alutfriends.org

After the candidates are approved, we will provide an opportunity to talk with Moldovan volunteers who are already in Israel and are passing the volunteer program.
