During the last 32 years the Day of the volunteer is celebrated worldwide on the 5th of December. This day millions of volunteers commemorate the end of the annual work season, evaluate progress and enjoy the well-deserved rest.
The Republican volunteer center (RVC) has associated this day with the “Volunteer of Year” annual award ceremony. This year prizewinners obtained diplomas for active participation in volunteer activity, creation and management of their own projects as well as for partnership and assistance in big projects. Each of them also received a special gift – a silver chain with a letter “hai” that in Hebrew means “life”. This symbol means a contribution of volunteers in lives of other people and reminds them of responsibility to them. We bestow it to the most outstanding volunteers of the year in recognition of their services.
The award was followed by the bright show with the participation of “Black & White” Dance Center group and “DoReDoS” band. They added additional emotions in the atmosphere of excitement, joy, pride and happiness. This evening became a deserved reward for challenging and leadership activity of our volunteers.
