According to the biblical Book of Esther, the holiday occurred in memory of the salvation of the Jews who lived in the territory of Ancient Persia.
These days, Purim is a time to plunge into childhood, invent costumes for yourself, eat sweet “Aman’s Ears” and crackle with rattles. Every year, the Volunteer Center hosts the “Bring Joy” charity event aimed at collecting “Mishloach Manot” sweet sets for children at risk, as well as healthy sweets for lonely elderly people.
This year the action takes place in Chisinau, Balti and Rybnitsa.
In the period from February 20 to March 18, everyone can take part in this kind, sweet action. At the address Evgeny Doga 5, in the Russian Exhibition Center there will be a special box-cube for your sweets. Having done a good deed and, importantly, by tagging us on Facebook or Instagram, you automatically take part in our contest, and on March 19 at 17:00 we will raffle off a gift among your marks.
Remember that a big deal includes many small ones! On March 20, the elderly and children of the Community will receive their gifts for Purim!
