Save Planet - eco action!
Today, more than ever, it is important to recognize the importance of every step aimed at protecting the environment. Sorting waste, recycling waste and participating in environmental actions are those small actions that together can make a huge positive difference. An example of such actions was the environmental action Save the Planet, held on July 14.
The Save the Planet campaign, aimed at beautifying our city, once again proved that the efforts of each of us matter. Our city is becoming cleaner and more beautiful thanks to caring residents who try to watch where they throw their garbage, as well as thanks to organizations striving to develop waste recycling and sorting capabilities.
However, there are still locations that need constant attention. Unfortunately, not all people clean up after their picnics, which creates the problem of garbage accumulation in picturesque places. This time, the location chosen for the event was on Botanika district, Lake Eight, a popular place for outdoor recreation with beautiful views, a lake and a forest. Every time you go there, it becomes obvious that the area suffers from rubbish left behind by careless visitors.
Volunteers from RVC together with participants of the American Council program, gathered to make this area cleaner. In a short period of time, they managed to collect 10 full bags of garbage left after picnics. Representatives from 10 countries took part in the event, each of which contributed to the cleanliness of our city.
The positive results of such actions inspire and motivate to continue working in this direction. Each event of this kind is a step towards a cleaner and more well-groomed city, which will become a better place to live for all its residents.
At the end of the event, participants shared their experience in the field of environmental volunteering and told how their countries recycle waste and keep order. This exchange of knowledge and experience helps to find new effective ways to combat environmental pollution and inspires further participation in environmental initiatives.
Let's take care of the environment together!
