RVC achievements in June!

The first month of summer is behind us, and it’s time to remember its brightest moments!

Our summer started with active outdoor activities. One of them — Cross Triathlon, which took place on the picturesque territory of WakePark in the village. Panashashti. This was the first RVC event as an official partner of the Triathlon Federation of the Republic of Moldova this year. RVC volunteers took part in organizing the races, ensuring order in all responsible areas. They did everything to ensure that athletes of all ages could show the best results on the track.

The second event is Family Sport Day, timed to coincide with International Children’s Day. We’ve brought together Haverim Junior and RVC children’s program members for outdoor family sports. Children and their parents actively participated in the prepared competitions, encouraging each other, which helped to easily cope with the tasks. At the end of the event, everyone received a certificate of participation, as well as cool and useful gifts provided by the Librarius bookstore chain.

In addition, in the children’s direction of the «School Ready» project, the preparation of children for school has begun! Volunteers began to actively implement their ideas for interesting and fun educational activities that will provide children with confident preparation for school everyday life! «School Ready» works 2 times a week — on Wednesdays and Sundays, and for details you can always contact the coordinator Ekaterina.

Another volunteer outdoor activity is picking 50 kg of sweet cherries as part of the Healthy Vitamin Box project. The process itself took place in the gardens of farmer Sergei, who kindly agreed to share the harvest for an important good deed. All the fruits were sorted into sets, and on the same day the volunteers delivered them to the elderly wards of the project.

Also in June, we summed up the results of the first half of the year, recalled the most significant events, projects and actions together with volunteers at the Points Exchange Ceremony. At the event, the volunteers were able to get to know each other better, chat, and everyone left with nice gifts, exchanging their points earned for six months for a variety of RVC merch. At the end of the event, the participants welcomed the new week with the traditional Avdala ceremony. It was a lovely cozy Saturday night!

And at the end of the month, we plunged into the world of vintage fashion at Vintage Bazaar together with volunteers and the elderly! The event covered many interesting topics: women, fashion, age, style. What do our generations have in common? How have all these themes changed over time? Also at the meeting, the participants had time to work with their hands and made wonderful polymer clay brooches, which will be given to our sedentary participants as a gift in July.

Join our team of volunteers so you don’t miss out on the next exciting activity!
