Passover at Kindergarten

Volunteers led a themed workshop for kids at "Savion" kindergarten.

On a Passover Eve - one of the most important holidays of the Jewish calendar - RVC volunteers led a themed workshop for kids at "Savion" kindergarten.

The main theme of the event became an Easter plate - Seder plate, on which is usually traditionally laid symbolic food, telling about the events of the Exodus and the release of the Jews from Egyptian slavery. Together with children, volunteers made a symbolic Seder plate, talked about the meaning of every element, and discussed which values are in this holiday.

The workshop was led in a very friendly and warm atmosphere. Kids were really engaged in a process, asked questions, shared their impressions, and were proudly demonstrating finished projects.

Such events aren't just a way to get the younger generation acquainted with traditions and culture; they're also an opportunity for volunteers to become guides of kindness, respect, and open dialogue.

Passover is a holiday of freedom, memory, and hope. And we are happy that we managed to become a part of this important custom and gave kids knowledge, attention, and the joy of mutual art.
