Healthy Box in July
RVC has been running and developing the Healthy Vitamin Box project for the past 2 years.
Healthy Vitamin Box is a social volunteer project aimed at assisting 50 economically disadvantaged elderly members of the community by providing them with a monthly food basket. This project is an extension of a successful pilot project in Moldova. The main concept of the project is to partner with local producers, stores, and farmers. The more producers involved, the more diverse and nutritious the box becomes.
A nutritionist, as an invited specialist in the project, helps participants create a balanced menu from the food basket they receive, based on seasonal eating.
As part of the project, 50 elderly individuals receive beneficial food packages each month, containing all the essentials for proper nutrition: grains, fruits, vegetables, and much more.
Recently, we completed the distribution of food packages, which were delivered to the recipients by our volunteers. Thanks to RVC volunteers, the microgreens company Papa's Green, and Furnaki bakery, 50 beneficiaries received food baskets.
And we'd like to remind everyone that performing acts of kindness is really quite simple!
