It is well known that knowledge is power. This power has to be transferred from a person to person. For this purpose we have a special day – an International day of the Jewish knowledge (Global Day). This year it was hold on November 12. This day 16 various master classes and lectures on the subject “Beauty and Ugliness” were held at JCC “KEDEM”. It was offered to the guests of the event to talk about manifestation of beauty in the Jewish culture, to work over the image, external and internal.

Applied art was also involved! Various classes in pottery, production of wooden badges and flower brooches have been organized for the visitors.

What beauty can be without healthy nutrition? There were also a lecture “We Are What We Eat” and a culinary master class in cooking of a milk dessert in the programme.

We express special thanks to the Madrichims of the Youth Club “Haverim”: Olga Caravaev, Sasha Daniliuc, Karina Kim and Eva Stupka for the wonderful children’s program.

Play “Dunno and His Friends” performed by the “Theatre from Roses Street” became a great end of the day!
